The Most Important Element in the Phrase Lights, Camera, Action is the Action.

I finally did it. I made a blog. And yes this does feel very young-adult cat mom that lives in Washington State and only drinks kombucha-ish of me but contrary to popular belief none of those hold true except the young-adult portion. Eh, well that is debatable because even at the ripe age of 19 being considered an adult in the real world is mind-boggling to me. But that's another discussion for another day.

Anyways back on topic. I did a big thing today. I acted. I made a blog. I have always wanted a platform where I could showcase, well, anything I really felt like showcasing but it never really seemed to work out in my favor. It always seemed so out of reach. I tried youtube because film is a hobby of mine, but losing three videos worth of footage shattered me and I have yet to get in front of a camera again. It took so much out of me. It's actually kind of funny looking back. I bought several recovery extensions in order to recover the footage and spent and ungodly amount of money on them. Don't worry though, the soccer mom in me jumped out and got a refund from every website I bought an extension from...then I used that money to pay for my school text books. Happy ending. I might try again though. Maybe not LOL.

Aside from that, my biggest and most frustrating setback was myself. For so long I doubted my ability and feared whether people would like what I had to say or just didn't like my content. In reality, it really doesn't matter who does and doesn't like whatever you choose to put out because the point is you did it. And you did it for you. Everything else is just like extra credit points on a test. It's always nice to earn some but you don't necessarily need them if you already did well on the test. A bonus, not what fuels your initiative. Unless...it does. In that case you can leave a comment expressing that. That's cool too.

I also eventually realized that as a creator/artist 50% of it creating whatever it is, music, art, novels, etc. and the other 50% is the confidence to share your creation. That is applicable to any aspect of life really. After a while I got tired of having so many ideas, so many things I wanted to share I knew I had to do something about it. Act on it. Just because I wanted to. In this specific case The lights and cameras symbolize the joy I get out of this because of the action I took to make this happen. There would be no lights and cameras without the action.
